

基地收發台BTS是GSM與MS 之間的溝通
管道。Ericsson稱BTS為RBS。
BTS包括發射器、接受器(天線)、與手機
通訊的無線介面相關之信令號處理的設
備。

BTS會收集所有MS送來的 signal 測量數
據,轉交給 BSC。BSC 利用這些數據做
channel assignment,一個低干擾的
channel就被稱為是 idle channel,可以
分配給MS使用。
