Behaviour.

Our Motivations for This Presentation
• A few years ago, both of us attended on a presentation on
biblical integration. We were disappointed with the fact
that there seemed to be a sense that any fealty to
academic rigor was frowned upon; rather Sunday school
style lessons seemed to be prized.
• For us, this seemed to reinforce the negative perception
outside of Christianity that the Christian school
and academic excellence were mutually exclusive.
• As IB teachers, we felt that there was a need to really
challenge this assumption.
• Other influences...personal experiences, readings.

Student Comments:
When asked, most, but not all students,
believed that the IB program had a positive
impact facilitating Christian ethics and
behaviour.

Five Aspects for Integrating a Biblical
Worldview
IB dictates a philosophy of authentic life experiences: how
much more authentic is a student whose education enables
them to develop spiritually and / or supports their faith?
Key aspect 1: Milieu / Background
Key aspect 2: Culture
Key aspect 3: Values; Morals and Ethics
Key aspect 4: Philosophy of life
Key aspect 5: Religious choices and faith
Being unprepared or underprepared for eternity is a GRAVE mistake!
Cooperative Learning
An Example of Biblical
Worldview Integration-Theory of Knowledge
There are opportunities to integrate a
biblical world view in every subject area.
This can be done in a meaningful manner
even in subjects such as mathematics.
