Airbag philosophy and OOP test status
•Support Side airbag TWG orientation(contribution).
•Challenging High-performance airbag system research and
development.
•Applying side airbag system with OPDS.
•Possibility be met TWG OOP recommendation. (Canadian

HY3 C3Y on Booster seat
3.3.2.1 position is most
important in our airbag
system.
Studied using prototype side
airbags based on NHTSA's
proposal.

OOP test procedure study
To study injury variation of relative location between A/B
module and C3Y Dummy head.

height position in seat
Case 2. Dummy height position
along the seat surface

Test results
Test result deviations related to the setting procedure
are found.
• Distance between head and airbag module is affected
by airbag module height within the seat.
• Dummy (C3Y) neck injury criteria is very sensitive
to distance between airbag module and head.
