3. Be동사의 부정문
•
‘~이 아니다, ~이 없다’라는 뜻의 부정을 나타낼 때는
be동사 뒤에 not을 붙인다.
•
Be동사의 부정형은 축약하여 쓸 수 있지만, am not은
줄여 쓰지 않는다.
e.g.
Amy is an actress.
 Amy isn’t an actress.
They are from Korea.
 They aren’t from Korea.
I am hungry.
 I’m not hungry.

일반동사의 긍정문과 부정문
1. 일반동사는 be동사와 조동사를 제외한 동사로, 주어의
동작이나 상태를 나타낸다.
2. 주어의 수, 인칭, 시제에 따라 형태가 변한다. 주어가 3
인칭 단수일 때 원형에 -s, -es를 붙이고, 복수인 경우
원형을 쓴다.
대부분의 일반동사 + -s
e.g. loves, likes, meets, comes, takes, learns
-s, -o, -x, -sh, -ch로 끝나는 동사 + -es
e.g. passes, goes, fixes, washes, teaches
「자음 + -y」로 끝나는 동사 y -ies
e.g. study  studies, cry  cries, fly  flies
「모음 + -y」로 끝나는 동사 + -s
e.g. say  says, play  plays

3. 일반동사의 부정문
•
e.g.
‘~하지 않는다’라는 뜻의 부정을 나타낼 때는 「do/does
not+동사원형」의 형태로 쓴다.
I go to school.
 I don’t go to school.
She teaches math.
 She doesn’t teach math.
Jenny has a big dog.
 Jenny doesn’t have a big dog.
My friend and I play baseball.
 My friend and I don’t play baseball.
