ERASMUS MUNDUS ACTION 2 – BEAM:
Build on Euro Asian Mobility
1- What is the EM-BEAM programme?
The EM-BEAM programme is a partnership of European, Japanese
and Korean Higher Education Institutions. The project is financed
by the European Commission and aimed at:
Promoting the mobility of students, researchers, academic and
administrative staff
Developing excellence in research and its management;
Enhancing international cooperation between sending and
hosting institutions;
Sharing of knowledge, know-how and good practices;
Promoting transparence and recognition of studies and grades at
international level.
2- Who can apply?
To be considered eligible, candidates must:
 be a national of an EU member state, respectively national from
Japan /Korea
 Doctorates must have obtained a 2nd higher education degree
from an EU, respectively JP, KR HEI within the Partnership in
the academic year 2011/2012 OR be currently registered in a
doctoral program in a HEI within the Partnership
 Post-doctorates must have obtained their doctorate in the last
2 years AND must have the support of one of the EU resectively
JP, KR HEI within the Partnership. This can be for Research,
training or specialised courses
