The Model - Workplace Evaluation Framework
1) A criteria based framework to evaluate Workplace
Training Systems at an employer
2) Built on good practice training principles
3) Uses a simple three step rating scale
4) Based on objective evidence
5) Feedback to the workplace provides opportunities for
development
6) National consistency in evaluation findings
7) Uses conversational auditing style
8) Programme is based on incentives, not punishments
Evaluation Framework Assumptions
1) It’s the workplace training system that is being
evaluated. Not the training content, and not the
trainee.
2) The evaluation framework relies on trained and
suitably experienced auditors
3) Auditors follow good practice in systems auditing
4) Conversational approach is most effective
5) Auditors judgements are calibrated through peer
group referencing
The Model - Workplace Evaluation Framework Criteria
1) Training and assessment planning
2) Learning methods and support
3) Assessment systems and methods
4) Resources management
5) Evaluation review and improvement
6) Reporting and trainee progress
7) Completion history
8) Contract requirements
