IB scholars enrolled in the IB MYP through the CMS
Magnet Lottery take the following core classes: IB
Language Arts, IB Science, IB Social Studies, and IB
Math.
All IB magnet scholars are required to take a foreign
language, a technology class, an arts class (music, visual
arts, or dance) and health & PE. IB MYP objectives are
incorporated into all electives.
IB scholars must also complete community service each
year to remain in the program (6th graders complete 20
hours, 7th graders 25, and 8th graders 30).
The philosophy of International Baccalaureate -- which
emphasizes inquiry, life-long learning, internationalmindedness, caring, and development of the whole child - is infused into all parts of school life.
