When asked to indicate their level of maturity in their use of data mining and
analytics, using the TeamMate Maturity Model categories:
• Half of respondents position themselves in the Initial stage of maturity
• A third classify themselves as Adequate
• Only 17 organizations (2%) say they have achieved an Optimized level of maturity

Uses of Data Mining Data Analytics
When asked which technology tools they expect to use to a greater extent
over the next two years, survey respondents pointed to data analytics as the
#1 tool they expect to increase their use of
• Risk assessment tools, which had been #1 in the 2011 survey, moved to #2
• Issues tracking tools moved from #2 to #3
Key Insight: this data reflects a priority on data tools, which can
lead to a focus on applying data mining to risk assessments
