• Students in 7th and 8th grade will take a total of 2
semester long elective courses, unless the elective
they choose is a full year course.
• Some courses are by teacher recommendation.
• Students will be placed in elective classes
according to their 1st and 2nd choices when
possible.
• It is sometimes necessary to enroll students in their
alternate choices.
• Some courses may charge a nominal fee.
• All courses are subject to cancellation pending
student enrollment.

• Choose carefully with your parent to make good
academic decisions about:
• Reading or World Language or Elective
• Elective choices
• We use your teachers’ recommendations, data,
and your requests to determine your schedule.
COURSE CHOICES
• If students are recommended for Reading, they
MUST take Reading and one elective choice.
• If students are recommended for World Language,
they can select French or Spanish, and one
elective choice.
• If students are recommended for World Language,
they can opt NOT to begin in Middle School and
select two elective options.
** Students and parents should consider this
decision carefully as changes will not be possible
after registration is complete.**
