
Jordan Gateway Project - Background
The idea of an Israeli-Jordanian Industrial Park was born in 1994
by Mr. Shimon Peres, following the Israel-Jordan peace treaty.

The industrial park is a result of a triangle agreement, between
Israel, Jordan and the U.S, exempting all products entering the
U.S Market from customs (QIZ arrangement).

The Jordanian government established infrastructures in 2001,
allowing the implementation of the first phase of the project.
