pounds of produce goes
wasted each year.
• The Foodbank’s average
cost per pound for
donated produce is

of $.60 to acquire nonperishable items.
Fresh is the Future
• In 2013, the Foodbank distributed more than
50 million pounds of food.
• Over half of the food distributed is now fresh –
including fruits, vegetables, meat and dairy.
• In 2013, the Foodbank distributed more than 20
million pounds of fresh produce.
