WHAT CAUSED THE ICE AGE?
The temperature dropped which
caused the winds to flow around the
earth in different directions.
The earth is 4.5 billion years old. There
have been many ice age. High
temperatures melt the ice and some
animals and plants become extinct like
the wooly mammoth.
WHY DID MAMMOTHS GO EXTINCT?
The reason mammoths became extinct is
because the humans hunted them and the
melting of the ice age.
Where did the ice age start?
The ice age started around Europe, Asia,
and North America.
The Tundra
The tundra is like the ice age today. One
half of the year is snowy and cold and the
other half is sunny and warm.
Little Ice Age
From 1645 to 1715 the U.S. was in a little Ice Age. The scientists think this
happened because there were no sun spots. Glaciers formed and harbors
froze!
Conclusion
Thousands of years from now we may
have another ice age . But right now
we may have global warming .
