Wampanoag Tribe


Originally native to the Massachusetts
& Rhode Island
It was Wampanoag people who
befriended the pilgrims at Plymouth
Rock bringing them corn and turkey for
the famous first Thanksgiving.






Unfortunately, the relationship went
downhill from there, and disease and
British attacks killed most of the
Wampanoag people.
The surviving Wampanoag people are
still living in New England today.

Navajo Tribe




The Navajo people lived
in New Mexico, Arizona,
Utah and Colorado






Tribe lived in the
southeastern US
Most Cherokees were
forced to move to
Oklahoma in the 1800's
along the Trail of Tears.







known as the Great Plains Indians

Famous Lakota: Red Cloud – warrior







Americans, the Pueblo Tribe
were never forced to leave
their homeland.












Originally lived in the Great
Plains- mainly SD, NE, WY,
KS, and CO
The capital of Wyoming is
named after the Cheyenne
tribe.




Despite losing their homes in the
infamous Trail of Tears, the
Choctaw Indians gave what they
had to help Irish famine victims in
the 1800's, and are still admired
by Irish people today.



Located in New Mexico,

taking his peoples land. Is well
known for his interactions with
everyone.
