Inbjudan till Gothenburg Open

För många spelare i Norden är Gothenburg Open, som är öppen för både ungdomar och vuxna, ett
naturligt val för en klubbresa. Förra året var vi knappt 500 deltagare varav 100 utländska spelare från
5 olika länder. Sammanlagt spelades det 1100 matcher över tre dagar. Nu siktar vi på att följa upp
succen från i fjol.
Gothenburg Open spelas i år i två nivåer, både nivå 3 och nivå 4. Nivå 3 är öppen för alla spelare,
medan nivå 4 är öppen för de 32 bästa svenska anmälda spelarna i singel och mixed, samt de 16 bästa
anmälda paren i dubbel. Utländska spelare placeras i nivå 3 eller 4 efter överenskommelse.
Tävlingen spelas i Alelyckans Sportcenter, där vi har tillgång till 27 badmintonbanor samtidigt.
Gothenburg Open passar därför särskilt bra som en klubbresa, då vi kan garantera att alla matcher
spelas i samma hall och med tidsshema som gör att det finns tid kvar att upptäcka Göteborg. Det
finns även möjlighet att prova tennis, squash, bangolf och bordtennis mellan badmintonmatcherna.
Lunch och fika finns till försäljning under hela tävlingen.

Invitation to Gothenburg Open
May 15th - May 17th 2014
For many players in the Nordic countries Gothenburg Open, open both for youth and adults, is a natural
choice for a club trip. Last year we had close to 500 players, whereof 100 international players from 5
different countries. A total of 1100 matches were played over 3 days. Now we are making a sequel to last
year’s success.
This year Gothenburg Open is upgraded to accommodate both level 3 and level 4 classes. Level 3 is
open for everyone, while level 4 is open only for the 32 best ranked registered Swedish players in
single and mixed, and the 16 best registered pairs in double. Foreign players will be placed into either
level 3 or 4 based on agreement.
Gothenburg Open is hosted at Alelyckans Sportcenter where we have access to 27 badminton courts
simultaneously. For that reason Gothenburg Open is particularly suited as tournament for the whole club,
since we can guarantee that all matches will be played in the same venue. You don’t just come to
Gothenburg to play badminton. There is lost to discover in Gothenburg apart from the tournament. Our aim
is to design a time schedule that allows you to explore Gothenburg once the competition is over.

us. Food and snacks are offered during the full tournament.
