The organizing committee of the conference
takes the privilege to cordially invite you to
participate in the workshop. The workshop
will provide an open forum to exchange the
ideas among the participants for fostering
advancement of chemistry.
The Workshop
Joint Science Education Panel of the
Academy, a body under the umbrella of
Indian Academy of Sciences (Bangalore),
Indian National Science Academy (New
Delhi) and the National Academy of
Sciences, India (Allahabad) endeavor
towards an opportunity especially for the
undergraduate, postgraduate and Ph. D.
students, along with young teachers, to
come together and interact with renowned
scientists from all over the country who
would articulate on the most recent trends
in science and technology. As a part of it,
the Department of Chemistry, University of
North Bengal, has been entrusted to
organize a workshop entitled “Science
Academies’ Lecture Workshop on Recent
Trends in Chemistry” during November
11-12, 2011.

Jubilee this year. The Department of Chemistry is
the largest among all the Departments in the

The University is located at the outskirt of Silliguri,
the gateway to the North East. The nearest railway
station is New Jalpaiguri. Bagdora airport is 4 km
away from the University. Central bus terminus at
Silliguri supports the arrival and departure of many
buses with the neighboring states/Kolkata.
