What is Golden Key?

Golden Key International Honour Society is a nonprofit, academic honour
society which recognises and encourages academic achievement and
excellence among university students.

Founded on the 29th November 1977, Golden Key is the world’s largest
university honour society.

Golden Key has chapters in over 375+ colleges and universities in Australia,
Canada, Malaysia, India, New Zealand, South Africa, United Arab Emirates
and United States.

There are currently 28 chartered universities in Australia, 2 in New Zealand,
1 in India, and 5 in Malaysia in the Asia Pacific region.
What is Golden Key?
 Golden Key’s primary role as an honour society is to give recognition to
high-achieving students and to establish professional and social contacts
between members.
 Golden Key provides opportunities for growth through leadership, career
development, scholarships and awards, networking, community service,
internships and study abroad programs.
How do I join Golden Key?
 Membership into the Society is by invitation only, based solely on academic
results.
 Offer of membership is extended to the top 15% of all undergraduate
students who have completed at least 12 months of full-time study or
part-time equivalent.
 The top 15% of postgraduate coursework students can also be invited
based on their results from the previous academic year or semester.

Recognition:
 Annual New Member Reception held on campus welcomes new members to the
Society.
 Members receive personalised membership certificates.

Scholarships & Awards:
 Over $600,000 in undergraduate and postgraduate scholarships and awards
available annually.
 Study Abroad, Leadership, Community Service, Alumni Achievement, PHD
Research Scholarships and Grants, Life Scholarships, undergraduate and
postgraduate scholarships across
numerous disciplines.
