Using government financial aid to pay
your fees
• Funding is NOT directed to the
University to pay your tuition and fees.
• Once your funding has been deposited
to your bank account, you are
responsible for paying any fees still
owing to the University.
US Loans
• The University of Waterloo does not
participate in the U.S. Federal
government loan program (Direct
Lending Program)

Dual citizenship
• A student who has both US and
Canadian citizenship may be eligible for
provincial/federal funding from the
province in which you and/or your
parents resided prior to moving to the
