The Forum was initiated by Russian specialists working as part of the Child
Protection Subgroup under the Bilateral Presidential Commission’s
Civil Society Working Group (Obama-Medvedev)
which began work in October 2010.

of the most pressing issues concerning Russian and American experience
in child protection both among government officials and experts
 THE PARTICIPANTS DRAFTED THE RESOLUTION OF THE FORUM
with the recommendations on key issues. The Resolution was sent
to the executive and legislative bodies concerned both in Russia and the USA
 THE FORUM WAS ESTABLISHED AS THE ANNUAL BILATERAL EVENT
The 2nd Russian-American Child Welfare Forum is due in autumn of 2012,
in Illinois, USA

 THE PARTICIPANTS SUPPORTED THE INITIATIVE OF THE NATIONAL

 THE PARTICIPANTS PRESENTED A SET OF INITIATIVES NOW BEING
ARRANGED AND ANALYZED
 THE FORUM PROVED TO BE AN EFFECTIVE PLATFORM TO PRESENT
THE FUTURE CENTER FOR BEST PRACTICES IN CHILD PROTECTION
IN THE REPUBLIC OF BURYATIA
