Film Reviews
The film industry relies heavily on publicity. Reviews are an important
source of information about films. They appear in a number of forms:
TV programmes
Magazines/ Specialist film magazines, such as Empire, Premiere, Hotdog &
DVD Review, try to cover all feature films that are released.
Rental & retail DVD releases
Newspapers both national, local & freebies
Radio stations have slots in programmes where newly released films are
discussed
Film websites
Phone APPs

A good film review should be more than just
the reviewer’s opinion of the film.
It should provide potential viewers with
information about the film that will allow
them to decide whether it is worth seeing or
not.
