THE WENDIGO:
DIARY OF THOMAS BURTON
This is a diary of the creature who turned into the Wendigo by disease of
starvation and rats attacking the town
Day 1:The start of the
disease
October 1920-Wave of rats pour into Fort Kent
and surrounding area many people become
seriously sick and injured. I Thomas Burton
become very sick myself.
Day 2:Found Dead
 Spring 1921-Through out spring many animals
are found dead buried in the snow. I still am
wondering what is happening to me. While
farmers are coming to me saying stories about a
large black hairy creature attacking animals in
their farm searching for flesh.
Day 3:Katie Burton
 August 1921- My Wife Katie Burton has now
caught the disease of rats I am trying to help
her but the thing is she has already died of
Small pox that were growing in her stomach.
Frustrated with so much death I will now
quarantine my house.
Day 4:Unaware
 September 1921 – The town’s people are
unaware that my wife Katie Burton has passed.
tomorrow I'm going to build a shrine inculding
her body.
Disappear and appear
 I now disappeared When I starts re-appearing in
the town of Fort Kent I know call myself
“William Blake” a name that was not spoken in
Fort Kent for over 100 years.
Leading
 I Thomas Burton am now bringing farmers to
my home in secret. To torture and kill and one
thing is none are yet identified. Which is good
for me.
At Night
 1921 October 12th- On this night the town of
Fort Kent will be attacked by me. I will butcher
most families and take parts of there bodies for
food. Eleven people I will spare there life. People
that I have not yet killed are in shock.
Entries by me
 Here are some things i found out about this
creature and it’s legends
7 years...
 It is said that every 7 years of each decade a
Wendigo awakens from it’s hybernative state
and seeks human flesh... To help ease it’s
hunger pains the Wendigo may eat moss, small
animals, mushrooms.
Appearance
 It’s appearance is said to be hazy. And he weighs
about 250-400 pounds it’s bipedal and is
covered with tarnished fur. Matted with dry
blood. It’s snout is like a dogs and has long
yellowish fangs but no lips as it may have eaten
them. Sometimes missing toes due to frostbite.
Eating
 When it eats it uses the pads of it’s paws to hold
its prey. When it drinks it cuffs it’s paws together
like a man would. It may not be able to drink like
a dog due to it’s abnormally tongue.
Missing parts
 More than half of the time the wendigo is
missing body parts such as ears, nose, lips, and
tail this may be caused by incomplete
transformation.
Encounters
 Every year there are lots of encounters with this
creature the evidence is compelling. Maybe the
wendigo is undiscovered, maybe it’s truly is a
beast.
Who knows?
 Who knows what it could truly be not me
