I would like to thank John De Caro from “Something Different”
who did a wonderful job along with his team of decorating the
church for advent and Christmas.
Repairs are still going on at St. Clare. I asked my plumber to put
a new kitchen sink down in the hall and he found Black mold so a
small job has become quite a big one. He is confident after the
replacement of drywall and counter tops the mold will be taken
care of, thanks Huby.
As some of you might know our church was robbed of 3 candle
money boxes several weeks ago. Our church cameras were not
operating at the time but new cameras are being installed. Due to
this, the church will no longer be open after the weekday morning
mass till 12noon as was the tradition. If you wish to come into the
church to pray or light a candle please come to the parish office
and a staff member will let you in.
As we approach the birth of our Saviour, I hope to see you at our
Christmas masses, this year we will have caroling at 11pm by
both the English and Italian Choirs, followed by 11:30pm bilingual
Mass.

MAINTENANCE COLLECTION
Next weekend’s 2nd collection will be taken up for the
monthly maintenance of our church. Thanks for your

December 18th between the hours of 6 – 9 p.m.! Thank
you for your service to the poor. You will be helping to
make someone’s Christmas a little brighter!
Volunteer Drivers Needed
We will be delivering baskets to recipient families on
Saturday, December 20th starting at about 8:30 a.m. If
you can spare just a couple of hours on that Saturday
morning to drive the baskets to the various homes, please
call us at the parish office.

2015 Offering Envelopes
Your new offering envelopes are ready to be picked up.
After Mass today, please make your way down to the foyer
in the Parish Hall. Please note that your envelopes are
arranged in numerical order, and someone will also be
available to help you, if needed. If you’d like to start using
envelopes in the upcoming year, please come down to the
Hall to register! Your offering envelopes will be available in
the Hall during the whole month of December. After this
weekend, please call the office to register if you require
new envelopes. Thank you for your support!

saranno organizzate in ordine numerico. Se quest’anno non avete
le buste, ma le desiderate, chiedetele a uno dei volontari che sarà
disponibile per aiutarvi. Grazie del vostro appoggio.
Non dimenticate….Se vi siete offerti a donare
un cestino per una famiglia con necessità, scendete in
sala oggi dopo la Messa, per riceverete informazioni
sulla famiglia prescelta. Vi chiediamo gentilmente di
portare nella sala il vostro cestino preparato giovedì,
18 dicembre tra le 6 le 9 p.m. Grazie alla vostra generosità, molte
familgie avranno un felice Natale!
Cerchiamo Autisti Volontari
Quest’anno, ringraziamo il Signore per le numerose famigle che si
sono offerte a preparare cestini per tante famiglie in necessità.
Questi cestini saranno consegnati alle famiglie sabato mattino, 20
dicembre incominciando alle 8:30 a.m. Se siete disponibili un paio
d’ore quella mattina, chiamate l’ufficio e lasciate il vostro nome.
3a Domenica di Avvento
Dobbiamo riconoscere senza esitazioni il nostro compito di
“portatori del Cristo”, chiamati a mostrare, con la nostra stessa
vita, a Gesù presente e nascosto in mezzo agli uomini. Un
compito umile e oscuro, ma non certo trascurabile: serve già a
“battezzare con acqua” coloro che Dio chiama a diventare uomini
nuovi.
Notizie dal Parroco
Voglio ringraziare John De Caro di “Something Different” per il
suo bel lavoro e per le decorazioni della chiesa per l’Avvento e
Natale.
Le reparazioni continuano a S. Chiara. Il lavandino nella cucina
della sala che doveva essere rimpiazzato dal nostro idraulico,
Huby, è diventato un lavoro più complicato del previsto per via
dell’umidità che ha causato problemi di muffa. L’idraulico ci
assicura che dopo i cambiamenti del muro dietro il lavandino e
nuovi banconi, non ci saranno più problemi, grazie Huby.
Come potete sapere, c’è stato un furto in chiesa dei contenitori
con i soldi che erano fissati al portacandele. Le telecamere di
sicurezza non erano in funzione quando è successo questo, ma
stiamo lavorando per installare nuove telecamere. Per cui, la
chiesa non sarà più aperta dopo la messa quotidiana fino a
mezzogiorno come prima. Se desiderate entrare in chiesa per
pregare o accendere una candela, venite in uffico.
Mentre si avvicina la nascità del nostro Salvatore, spero di vedervi
alle Messe Natalizie. Questo’anno tutte e due i nostri cori, inglese
e Italiano, si raduneranno in chiesa a cantare alle 11:00 p.m.
prima della Messa bilingue delle 11:30 p.m.
