About why we have wanted posters
Wanted posters for particularly notorious
fugitives frequently offer a bounty for the
capture of the person, or for a person who
can provide information leading to such
capture. More modern wanted posters
may also include images of the fugitive's
fingerprints
Billy the kid
• William h. bonney, better known as Billy
the kid also known as Henry Antrim, was a
19-century America gunman who
participated in the Lincoln county war and
became a frontier outlaw in the american
old west.
Sheriffs
• Sheriffs are the good guys but some times
bad guys.1. They are good guys because
they stop people from robbing the bank,
but they also kill the robbers if they don’t
stop what there doing.
Wild west Outlaw and Lawmen
• And in 1882, another notorious outlaw, Jesse James,
who was a veteran of Quant rill's Raiders during the Civil
War, was shot in the back by Robert Ford, a kinsman
who hoped to collect the $5,000 reward. James' death
ended the career of an outlaw gang that terrorized the
Wild West for more than a decade.
In 1899, Robert Parker and his partner, Harry Long
Baugh, "Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid," lead
their "Wild Bunch" bandit gang in a series of bank and
train robberies across the West. They eventually fled to
South America in 1901, thus ending the era of the outlaw
band.
Famous cowboys
• Phoebe Ann Oakley Moses born August 13,
1860 died November 3, 1926 claim to fame
sharp shooter and exhibition shooter; starred in
buffalo bill’s wild west show, cause of death
pernicious anemia popular name Annie Oakley.
• Roy Daugherty born January 1, 1924 died
august 16, 1924 claim to fame outlaw and
member of the wild bunch gang cause of death
during a gun fight popular name Arkansas Tom
Jones.
