• Initiated February 19, 2011 when SHRM participated in
UTEP’s Project MOVE.
• Helped The Salvation Army build a Youth Garden.
• Anticipated conclusion of the project is April 30, 2011.
• The supplies needed will be gathered/purchased and
furnishings will be ordered April 8, 2011.
• The room will be painted/renovated April 16 –April 23,
2011.
• The room will be completed (renovated, furnished, and
decorated) by April 30, 2011.
Project Time Frame
• TSA’s mission is to work with homeless families in
developing plans that enable them to:

Reduced dependence on public assistance,
Improve independent living skills,
Develop greater self-determination,
And secure and maintain permanent housing.

Services provided by TSA
• To raise a minimum of $2,000 to furnish the room. (To include
two twin-on-twin bunk beds, one twin-on-full bunk bed,
necessary mattresses, one dresser, and one open amour).
• To collect donations (whether monetary or supplies) to
renovate the room and provide constructive activities for
children and adults (e.g. paint, wall hangings, magazines,
books, etc.)
• To provide a more encouraging transition for families in need.
• To encourage other organizations to participate in the “Adopta-Room” project and renovate all 20 rooms in the facility.
