A Short History
Eligibility of Juried Work contd.
Established by the Historical Society in 1989 to
preserve Tewksbury through artwork exclusively
depicting Tewksbury Township subjects, the
“Tewksbury Open” has expanded its scope while
retaining its original spirit . It is now a highlight of the
Hunterdon and Somerset Counties autumn season.
Widely publicized and much attended, the exhibition
and sale has included work by many leading artists in
the area and is held in an intimate setting with most
artists in attendance at the opening. Known for the
quality of the work, the exhibit also includes a “Small
Works” area and a “Portfolio Showcase”.
