CAUTION:
KEEP AWAY OF ENERGIZED EQUIPMENT
The following instructions should be observed
during all the operation, servicing and
maintenance of this type of equipment. If you
don't follow this instructions, and the respective
advises included in this Manual, Continental Lensa
will not assume any risponsability on the
consequences that may occur in persons,
equipment or installations.
The people indicated to operate the equipment
should not remove any cover of the transmitter.
Replacement of components, even fuses, must be
performed by skilled people.
Please consider that the main power supply of any
transmitter has electrolytic capacitors that can
maintain some energy cumulated during a while.
Wait for the normal discharge circuit operation
before attempting to make any action into the
transmitter. If you have any doubt, please discharge
any circuit you are going to operate.
Please follow the isntructions here included, as
indicated:
GROUNDING THE CHASSIS TRANSMITTER
In order to reduce the risk of getting and electric
shock, the transmitter chassis must be grounded.
All test instruments are provided with grounding
bolts. Please use them. Consider that all the AC
cables have a three pins plug. Never remove the
third one, because is the grounding connection
for the equipment. Make sure that the AC outlet
is properly connected, including the earthing
contact.
DO NOT OPPERATE ANY ELECTRONIC
EQUIPMENT IN AN EXPLOSIVE AMBIENT
If you suspect the presence of any gas or vapor
that may be explosive or flamable, don't operate
any electric device, including the light switch. The
spark generated with the ligth switch is enough
to initiate an explosion.
NEVER BE ALONE WHILE OPERATING WITH
ELECTRICITY.
Never attempt to make any repair or service into
the equipment if you are completely alone.
Consider that another person should perform the
first aids if you have any major problem.
DO NOT INTRODUCE ANY MODIFICATION INTO
THE EQUIPMENT.
Our Engineering staf made their best effort to get
a reliable product at a reasonable cost. Please do
not try to modify any circuit or use alternative
parts instead the original spare parts that you can
get from the factory.
LABELING DURING THE PROCEDURE
Signals like the one above will appear through the
text. Please follow them and take care of yourself.

are capable of provoque severe injures into the human
body. Even kill a person.

Audio Filter
This subassembly correspond to an eigth order
low pass filter of the Tshebichev type designed to
be used into the audio band. The intention is to
control de audio input bandwith to operate the
transmitter in conjunction with a narrow band
radiating system, as diplexed or triplexed towers.
There are three roll off settings programmable by
jumpers, 3.500; 4.500 and 7.500 Hz.
The settings for the different frequencies are the
following:
•Roll off frequency of 3.500 Hz:
JP1 to JP8 without connecting.
The filter is installed at the audio input of the
transmitter and requires a +- 20 VDC power supply.
The audio input is balanced.
There are two test points TP1 and TP2, one at the
input and the other at the output of the filter.
The voltage seen at TP2 is about 2,45 VRMS when
the audio input signal is +10 dBm.
