Hydrating Body Butter
In contrast to store-bought lotions, body butter is prepared with a blend of
natural chemicals that can rehydrate dry, sensitive skin. Having hydrated
skin is essential, and using body butter in our body's skin care regimen can
help prevent dry and flaky skin.
Body butter’s main ingredients and its purpose:
● Shea butter- is the main ingredient for moisture and hydration.
● Coconut oil- while is also a moisturizer it is also proven to have
antimicrobial properties.
● Jojoba oil- is an oil that is most similar to what our bodies create,
which improves our skin's absorption of the body butter.
● Essential oil- is optional, but certain oils—lavender, for instance, has
antifungal qualities that help soothe sensitive skin, making it ideal
for eczema.
Goals:
The objective behind creating this body butter was to create a natural,
affordable, and hydrating product that would be safe for even the most
sensitive skin.
Directions:
Use the body butter right after a shower, when the body’s pores are open
and massage the body butter into the skin until all the product is
absorbed and no longer has a residue.
