2023 IN-SERVICE TRAINING (INSET) PROPOSAL
I. PROGRAM TITLE: 2023 IN-SERVICE TRAINING FOR TEACHERS
II. PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
The 2023 In-Service Training is a 5-day training program of teachers that will focus on the
following areas: a) Revisiting Policies and Implementation of Programs, Activities and Projects on
School Improvement and Governance; b) Review of Strategies for the Improvement of Teaching and
Learning; c) Presentation of Findings in Applied and/or action researches and d) Other Topics based on
Developmental Needs of Teachers.
III. PROPOSED PQF LEVEL: Level 7
IV. RATIONALE:
Training program in an organization is a process by which people are taught with skills and given
the necessary knowledge or attitude to enable them to carry out their responsibilities to the required
standard in the present job and to undertake greater and more demanding roles for more effective job
performance.
As such, the need for in-service training or staff development program for teachers plays an
essential role in successful education reform. It also serves as a bridge between prospective and
experienced educators to meet the new challenges of guiding students towards higher standards of
learning and self-development.
V. OBJECTIVES:
The main purpose of the training is to initiate a process of improvement in school and its staff,
particularly in adapting and managing change, conducts workshop in instructional materials
development and action research/work plan preparation.

VIII. MONITORING & EVALUATION
The management team will ensure the smooth conduct and implementation of the in-service
training. The outcome determines the possible solutions and recommendations that will improve the
delivery of instructions to the learner. Output and activity portfolios will be gathered by the facilitators
or process observers for evaluation. Post training evaluation form will be used. After the training is
completed, a narrative report and pictorials will be submitted to the Schools Division Office as mode of
verification.
