THE ARAB WORLD AND ITS HISTORY
The Arab world consists of 22 countries in the middle east
in Asia and Africa. Most of these are also in the GCC
countries and are well known for it. These Arab countries
speak Arabic and some well known countries in the Arabic
world are Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar and Oman.
These countries have a long history. These people
were originally from the Arabian dessert and
accepted Islam in the 7th century. Then they
conquered the middle east and were only one
country. Now hundreds of years later they became
different countries. Now these countries are very
rich but used to be poor. These are now rich
because in the 19th century they found oil and as oil
Is very rare and expensive they sold it with earning
lots of oil. Nowadays oil is coming out the most in
the world out of the middle east and hence they are
earning lots of money.
THE ARAB CULTURE
The Arab culture is rich with all the way from politeness to tea. A very important part of the Arab culture is
politeness as Arabs follow Islam which tells them to be polite. These people were white thoubs for men which is
a plain long white dress with a dishdasha at the top to keep their eyes protected from the sand for men. For
women they wear an abaya which is a long black dress with a scarf at the top. Their clothing is very modest as
their religion Islam does not allow immodest clothing. The part which you can’t skip is their tea. Despite the heat
of the dessert they still love tea. They call it Qawa and is served in a traditional container. Another tradition which
they still follow is sitting on the ground to eat. These people are also famous for their perfumes and smells. They
burn a bukhur for good smell.
