Natural Skin Care
There are many excellent skin care and beauty products available, but some
of them contain irritating ingredients that should be avoided. Parabens, for
example, are a chemical that receives a lot of negative publicity. Parabens are
acid compounds that are added to skin care products such as creams,
cleansers, and serums to prevent the growth of fungus and bacteria.
Butylparaben,
propylparaben,
isobutylparaben,
ethylparaben,
and
methylparaben are all examples of parabens that are commonly found in
products. Some claim that they are skin irritants that have been linked to the
development of cancer. However, according to other research, low levels of
the chemical in skin care products should not be a major source of concern.
It's always possible to make your own skin care products if you're concerned.
There are a plethora of books and recipes available on the subject, as well as
a plethora of stores and websites where you can purchase your natural
ingredients.

Always remember to perform a patch test on your skin before using any
product, even if it contains natural ingredients.
Tired Eyes Recipe
Ingredients:
ü
ü
1 or 2 drops of Clary Sage Essential Oil
2 cups purified water that has been warmed
Directions:
Do you have dark circles under your eyes, puffy eyes, or tired eyes?
Allergies, lack of sleep, and genetic factors are among the causes of this
condition in many people. Adding one or two drops of Clary sage essential
oil to a bowl of warm water can help to alleviate this problem. To combine,
whisk everything together. In the next step, soak a washcloth in the mixture
of water and Clary sage oil and gently place it over your eyes. This recipe
does not necessitate the use of a large amount of essential oil.
It was believed that this herb could heal the eyes and improve vision back in
the Middle Ages. If your eyes begin to burn or you experience unpleasant
itching after the washcloth comes into contact with your skin, stop using it
immediately. Because the eye area is extremely sensitive, exercise extreme
caution when attempting this recipe and perform a small patch test first.
Facial Cleanser With Coconut Oil
Ingredients:
ü 1 Cup Coconut Oil
ü 1 Tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar
ü 1 Tablespoon Honey
ü 1-2 drops of essential oil
Directions:
One cup of coconut oil is combined with one tablespoon of apple cider
vinegar and one tablespoon of honey to create this cleanser. A few drops of
essential oils such as rose oil, geranium oil, or lavender oil can be added to
the mixture. Apply your natural cleanser to your face, gently rubbing it in
circular motions and avoiding your eyes, and rinse thoroughly.
Coconut oil has a number of beneficial properties for your skin. It is an
extremely effective moisturizer that can repair and heal dry skin. It aids in the
removal of dead skin cells and the strengthening of healthy cells in the skin.
In order to make a soothing version of this cleanser for those who have
sensitive or irritated skin, follow the recipe below. Blend one cup of whole
oats until they are finely chopped. Using one-half cup of coconut oil and
approximately 20 drops of lavender essential oil, combine the chopped oats
in a large mixing bowl. Make a paste out of the ingredients and gently
massage it into your skin. Rinse thoroughly with warm water after leaving the
cleanser on for several minutes.
Bath Soak Of Oatmeal Lavender And Rose
Ingredients:
ü Rose or Lavender Essential Oil (about 30 drops each)
ü Rolling Oats (about 3 cups)
Directions:
Soothing oatmeal can be used to soothe dry or irritated skin. Combine 3 cups
of rolled oats and 30 drops of rose essential oil or 30 drops of lavender
essential oil, or a combination of the two, in a small mixing bowl. In the
following step, pour approximately half of the mixture into your bath water
and soak. Your skin will be unbelievably soft and soothed after using this
product.
Adding bath salts made with essential oils to your bath can help to alleviate
aches and pains, as well as promote relaxation. Pour one cup of Dead Sea
bath salts into your bath water, along with approximately 5 drops of lavender
essential oil, and swirl to combine them. Bathe in your tub for approximately
20-30 minutes to unwind and relax.
Take pleasure in allowing the skin to absorb the restorative minerals and
soothing lavender. An added benefit is that the lavender's scent will help to
relax you as well.
Facial Cleanser Or Mask Made With
Organic Clay
Natural clay have been used on the skin for hundreds of years. They have
numerous advantages for all skin types, including the following:ü Deeply purifying
ü Purifies the skin
ü Heals
ü Soothes
ü Tones
ü Nourishes
ü
There are a plethora of clay-based natural skin care recipes available on the
market. Kaolin, Rose Clay, Fuller's Earth, Bentonite, and French Green are
some of the most popular clay.
Ingredients:
ü Bentonite Clay (approximately 1-2 tablespoons)
ü The use of a small amount of purified or rose water
ü
Approximately 2-3 drops of essential oil (Rosemary, Rose, Geranium,
Jasmine, Chamomile, or Lavender)
Directions:
A small amount of water or rose water should be added to a tablespoon or
two of Bentonite clay to form a paste. Pour in 2-3 drops of a mild essential
oil, such as rosemary, geranium, chamomile, or lavender (or a combination of
these scents). Using a cotton ball, apply the mask to your clean skin and leave
it on for 7-10 minutes, or until it no longer feels irritating. Afterwards, rinse
thoroughly with warm water and apply a light moisturizer.
Bentonite clay, which is derived from aged and weathered volcanic ash, is
highly effective at drawing toxins from the body. This clay is beneficial for
anti-aging purposes. It does this by detoxifying the skin, which helps to slow
down the aging process. Skin is tightened and fine lines are reduced as a
result of this treatment.
You can also include French clay as a key ingredient in your homemade
facial mask recipe. It can help to clear up blemishes, soothe irritated skin,
exfoliate dead skin, tighten pores, and reveal a smoother complexion by
removing dead skin cells. This clay is made up of weathered sediment, rock,
and volcanic ash, among other things.
French Clay Mask
To make a mask, combine a couple of tablespoons of French green clay with
aloe vera from an aloe vera plant. Add 1-2 drops of chamomile essential oil
and one drop of orange essential oil to the mixture. Apply the mask all over
your cleansed face, avoiding the eye and mouth areas, and leave it on for 710 minutes to see results. It is better to wash off well using warm water.
Also, exercise caution when using orange oil. If you have sensitive skin, test
the mask on a small patch first before applying it all over. Orange oil can be
too stimulating for some people. After you've finished masking, use a light
moisturizer.
Facial Cleanser With Cucumber
Ingredients:
ü
ü
ü
ü
ü
1 cup plain yogurt
Fresh Cucumber (about 2-3 slices)
Mint leaves that have been freshly cut
Sesame or Jojoba Oil (about 1/2 tablespoon) (Optional)
1-2 drops of Rosemary Essential Oil (Optional)
Directions:
Combine one cup of plain yogurt with a few sliced cucumbers that have been
pureed in a blender to make a refreshing summer treat. Additionally, a pinch
of fresh mint can be added. If you have dry skin, a half teaspoon or so of
sesame or jojoba oil can be added to the mixture. You can also add a drop of
rosemary essential oil to your homemade cleanser if you want to give it a
stronger aroma or to make it more healing. Refrigerate your cleanser in a
dark-colored glass container to keep it fresh and clean. Dark-colored glass
containers will keep your product fresher for a longer period of time.
Exfoliant Of Apricot And Walnut
Ingredients:
ü
ü
ü
ü
1-2 of whole walnuts
1 cup plain yogurt
1-2 slices of fresh apricots
1-2 drops of Almond or Orange oil (Optional)
Directions:
Exfoliating your skin is one of the most important things you can do for your
skin, regardless of whether you have dry, oily, combination, or normal skin.
Getting rid of dead skin cells will help you avoid breakouts, reduce fine lines
and wrinkles, shrink pores, and have a smooth and healthy complexion.
In a blender or food processor, pulse the walnut shells and nuts (the nuts are
packed with essential fatty acids that are good for the skin) until they are very
finely chopped. In addition, add one cup of plain yogurt and a couple of
slices of fresh apricot to your blender and blend until smooth. Once you've
combined these three ingredients, you can add 1-2 drops of almond oil or
orange oil if you'd like your homemade exfoliant to have a pleasant
fragrance.
Using circular motions, gently massage your face after you have cleansed it
with your exfoliant to remove any dead skin cells. After rinsing thoroughly
with warm water, pat your skin dry. Only exfoliate 1-3 times per week, at the
most. Excessive exfoliation can irritate your skin and cause it to lose its
moisture barrier, which can lead to acne. Make sure to store the remaining
product in a tightly sealed container in the refrigerator and use it within 4
days.
Facial Cleanser With Honey And Turmeric
Ingredients:
ü
ü
ü
ü
1 Tablespoon of Honey
a quarter teaspoon of ground turmeric
1/2 cup plain yogurt
Essential Oil of Neroli (1-2 drops total)
Directions:
Honey has the ability to give you a radiant complexion. It has antibacterial
properties and helps to soothe dry, flaky skin. Honey is also a humectant,
which means that it attracts and retains moisture, making it extremely
moisturizing. Turmeric is also beneficial to the skin because it has antiinflammatory properties, helps to reduce pigmentation and blemishes, and
has antibacterial properties as well.
To one tablespoon of honey, 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric, and one-half cup plain
yogurt. For additional healing benefits, add 1-2 drops of neroli essental oil to
the mixture before mixing. Apply to a freshly cleansed face, massaging it in
and avoiding the eye area as much as possible. Allow for a few minutes for
the cleanser to absorb into your skin before rinsing with warm water and
patting dry.
Moisturizer For The Face
Ingredients:
ü
ü
ü
Carrier Oil or Butter of Preference
5 drops of essential oil per 1 ounce of carrier oil or butter is a standard
ratio (for facial blend)
15-30 drops of essential oil per ounce of carrier oil or butter is a good
rule of thumb (for body blend)
Directions:
Making a homemade organic moisturizer at home can be both enjoyable and
beneficial if done correctly. If you are over the age of 35, your skin may
require an additional boost of healthy oils. You can use jojoba, coconut,
almond, or olive oil as a carrier oil instead of sesame or sunflower oil.
Alternatively, if you prefer a thick, creamy consistency, shea butter, cocoa
butter, or a combination of the two can be used.
Any of these will serve as an excellent starting point for your recipe. If you're
making a facial blend, use five drops of essential oil per one ounce of carrier
oil or butter. When making a body moisturizer, you can use up to 15-30 drops
of essential oil for every ounce of carrier oil or cream that you use.
Oils such as geranium, lavender, clary sage, jasmine, vanilla, or neroli are
excellent choices because they are mild.
