Our initiatives span across three unique ecological regions: the Portal Ridge Wildlife
Preserve north of Lancaster, the Tortoise Reserve in the Mojave Desert, and the Puma
Canyon Wildlife Reserve near Pinon Hills in California. Each of these sanctuaries plays
a critical role in protecting diverse species and their habitats, from the best-preserved
mountain lion populations in Los Angeles County to the vital Joshua trees adapting to
higher altitudes for survival. Moreover, our efforts extend to creating monarch butterfly
waystations, essential havens that support the migration and multiplication of this
declining butterfly, while also engaging the community through educational programs.
