MS Excel Intermediate - Overview
You should know the following:
▪ Switch on and shut down a PC/laptop.
▪ Use a Windows PC/laptop with common hardware including a keyboard, monitor,
mouse and USB ports.
▪ Use Windows to launch applications, navigate the directory structure and search
for files.

You should have the following:
▪ Your own PC/laptop.
▪ A licensed copy of Windows 11 or Windows 10.
▪ A licensed copy of Microsoft Excel 2016, 2019, 2021 or 365. Trial versions may
disable functionality.
▪ Digital exercise files (please unzip them to your Desktop)

▪ What spreadsheets are
▪ The Microsoft Excel default interface
▪ Excel Workbooks, Worksheets, Cells and Cell References
▪ Managing Data: Find & Replace, Copy, Cut, Move
▪ Cell and Number Formatting
▪ Creating basic formulas
▪ Using Autosum, Text and Math functions
▪ The Fill Handle and Custom Lists
▪ Illustrations: inserting shapes and clip art
