Sowing Tomorrow (Poem)

Sowing Tomorrow
We see our fading earth, once evergreen,
Her woods cut down, her creatures seldom seen.
Waste fills the rain; drought dries the land,
And Ice melts away by warming hands.
If only we had cared to understand, Walked lightly and offered a helping
hand.
But time remains if we end the blight,
Take up the torch for sustained life.
Protecting nature, its graces spreading,
Restoring balance, earth’s table heading.
People, money, nature - strands entwined,
Now worn, the whole tapestry maligned.
But in breath’s air, hope always dwells
To plant change and ring promise bells.
So voices of care now let us raise,
Wisdom’s tide in earth’s favor sways.
All peoples, cultures, let hands now meet
Shelt’ring the future from harsh defeat. True vision waters each fragile
seed,
To grow green forests in every need.
What we do today sketches the miles
For the earth of our children and generation’s smiles.
Where sustainability shapes the terrain,
A verdant sustenance, now the campaign.
The time has come at last to reprove,
Bind ourselves to this world we love.
Tend nature anew so all beings rejoice,
By heeding now sustainability’s voice.
