I am writing to apply for the PhD position in Chemistry at Uppsala University, as advertised
with the application deadline of February 26, 2024. With a strong academic background in
Chemistry, including an MPhil with a CGPA of 3.75/4.00 and an MSc with a CGPA of 3.84, I
am excited about the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing research at the Department of
Chemistry - Ångström Laboratory.
The focus of your project on lithium recycling and extraction resonates with my research
interests, and I am keen to leverage my skills and knowledge in this area. My academic
achievements demonstrate my dedication to the field, and I am particularly attracted to the
interdisciplinary nature of the project, which combines hydrometallurgical methods,
electrochemistry, and analytical techniques.
I am proficient in English, both orally and in writing, and possess the ability to work
collaboratively in a research environment. I have done my ielts with band score 6.5. My
previous experience in documenting experimental work and my passion for scientific inquiry
make me a suitable candidate for this position. I am eager to contribute to ongoing research
