BYE LETTER

Greetings,
I write this letter to say my official, I fear way too belated goodbye - and ashamedly so. My apologies for
being so late in taking this crucial and very important protocol. It would seem I despised your authority
and the great opportunity you accorded me at Chimanimani Rural council; nothing could be further from
the truth, please forgive for this lack professionalism and naivete on my part, I am sincerely sorry for any
inconveniences caused by my sudden and unannounced departure and the lack of communication
thereof afterwards.
I had a good time at CRDC, I was content and settled and never actively sought any opportunities to
leave. This company that I am now working for, Powertel Communications-a subsidiary of ZESA holdings,
I had applied for it in November 2023 before coming to CRDC and when they called me, I was torn
between staying and leaving. Considering that maybe my departure would not strain the IT department,
that it had been very kind of you to offer me a place to learn and grow; I knew-or that I did, that it wasn’t
because you needed that many people for work, Jefferson was doing fine alone. On the other hand,
working in Harare would assure me a flawless assessment, for Chimanimani remote as it is, I was having
a hard time getting a supervisor at school. Also, I was now being hired as a software engineer attaché, a
new opportunity to add to the experience I had acquired at your place.
I was only given one day to get to Harare; thus, my departure was of a very hurried manner and I myself
was not really decided on whether I really wanted to go until the very last moment. Owing to that, I only
was able to send a message to Mr. Muchinapo on my way to Harare. It had been my intentions to finally
correct this negligence in person around the Easter holiday, but unfortunately things did not go as
hoped. I was not able to come back to Chimanimani, hence this letter with the hope that I will find
another time in the future.
I am very grateful for the time I had at CRDC, everyone treated me like family and I never had occasion
to complain. Matter of fact my impression of CRDC is such that if occasion arises, I would be glad to be
part of that family again. My apologies once more for my unbecoming behavior in not communicating
early, however from my knowledge of you I am assured of your fatherly understanding, that you would
not find fault with me for having taken this new opportunity to increase my learning, I believed it to be a
good door, perhaps God’s door.
I hope you are all well, and that we will have occasion in the future to further this amazing relationship
now cut shot. Thank You for your love and kindness in the opportunity you gave me and for your time
and understanding; may the Lord richly reward you.
Yours faithfully
Shammah Njanjeni.
