PURPOSE
The purpose of this document is to establish a standard document numbering system for Supply
and Installation of the 1320 MW Power Plant Based on Simple Cycle Gas Turbines for Power
Generation; hereinafter referred as Project.
2.
SCOPE
This document explains the philosophy of the document numbering and coding system. This
procedure provides information about the extent of the system and provides all the codes for
project documentation.
Definitions:
DCC : Document Control Centre
PEM : Project Engineering Manager
PCM : Projects Control Manager

RESPONSIBILITY
PM, PEM, Projects Controls Manager, and DCC are responsible for the execution of the
procedure.
4.
RULES AND EXPLANATIONS
The below coding system is established to reflect the characteristics of each document to be
created during the project life cycle.
4.1. CODIFICATION OF TECHNICAL DOCUMENTS
The structure of the code will be given;

XXX - Project Code:
Project code indicates the project as three alpha-numerical digits. “TSS” will be used as the
project code and will remain the same during the execution of the Project.

YY - Group Code:
Identifies the group and area of the plant for which the document is applicable. The code will
be the project sequence number if the distinction of area or plant is not clear or not exists. The
group codes are defined at below for the Project and will remain the same for the Project
documents.
00 - Common for plant area and general & admin. documents
AAA - System Code:
The Power Station Identification System, KKS System coding / KKS – GUIDELINES AND
KEYS” (Please refer to Annex 3) shall be used as the System Codes. Using KKS System Codes
will provide filtering and querying documents by system, effortlessly understanding which
drawing is related to which system, as well as simply coordinating turnover packages between
commissioning and construction teams.
T1 - Discipline Code:
Discipline Code identifies the discipline of documents. Please refer to Annex_1 for the list of
discipline codes.
T2 – Document Type:
Document Type identifies the type of documents in general manner. Please refer to Annex_2
for Document Types.
T3 – Sub-Document Type:
Sub-Document type particularizes the document type. Sub-document type is not applicable for
all type of documents. Please refer to Annex_2 for details.
EEE – Originator Code:
Identify the originator of a document. Abbreviations of originators for the parties will be
defined during the project execution stage.
NNN – Serial No of Document:
Serial No of Document is the consecutive serial number, which will be the suffix of the AAAT1T2T3-EEE code in order to create a unique number for each document.

AN –Appendix:
In case a document has appendixes, the serial number will be followed by .AN. The first letter
is the appendix indicator (A), and the second letter is the figure which indicates the appendix
number (N).

R – Revisions:
The revision element is an alfa-numeric character string used to distinguish the multiple issues
of a document.

During Comment review Cycle between the parties before submission to the Employer,
revisions will be followed alphanumerically: A1, A2, B1, B2 …

Until a drawing is approved for construction by the Owner, revisions will be followed
alphabetically: A, B, C …

After a drawing approved for construction by the Owner, revisions will be followed
numerically: 0, 1, 2...

Revision for the red marks/redlines should be indicated with lowercase letters; Aa, 1a…

For the Superseded, Cancelled, and As-built documents; revision codes should be
followed as, Y: Superseded; Z: Cancelled; X: As-Built

Revision issue status should be identified by the following codes for all documents.

4.2. ELECTRONIC FILE NUMBERING REQUIREMENTS

Name of electronic file: TSS-00-UMB-CDA-CEI-001_0

File name shall always be written in Latin by upper case without space between
characters.

The underscore (_) is used to separate the document number from the revision.

File name shall not include Document Title.

If a document consists of several files, i.e. appendices, attachments etc., the main
document and attachments shall be combined in one PDF file for PDF submissions
and one "zip" file for native file submissions.

Documents to be issued in multi-languages: The language code will be applied after the
second underscore (_) as a suffix:

and independent from each other.
In general, Owner/Contractor/Vendor/Supplier and/or any other third parties will have their
identification codes for their contracts.
All correspondences should be coded and addressed per the settled communication rules
