Assignment Description: As we have discussed the manager’s changing work environment, students will
select an organization and research one or more challenges the organization has recently encountered.
Include the following in your paper:
1) Header: Class, your name, date, company name
2) Company Introduction: Example of things to include are… history, what do they do, key
personnel, where are they located, demographic information, mission, vision, industry, culture,
number of employees, customer information, social information, etc.
3) Financial Information: You should be able to find your company’s annual report or most recent
quarterly financial data via their website. Summarize key information from the financial reports,
such as net income (loss), stock price, trend details, etc.
4) Detail: One or more challenges the company has recently faced or is currently facing.
5) Describe: How the company is addressing the challenge(s). What is their plan?
6) Provide: Your perspective on the challenge(s). Do you agree or disagree with the company’s plan
for addressing the challenge(s)? What would you do differently?
You can do research on your own, but you may also consider talking to a manager or leader in the
organization you choose to gain specific insight to regarding the required information to include in your
paper.
