1.1.1 Work permit shall be obtained from Saudi Aramco before start work.
1.1.2 Permit Issuer and Receiver to conduct joint site inspection to discuss the
hazards and precautions required for conducting the job safely.
1.1.3 Follow new revised work permit system.
1.1.4 Ensure no work is conducted in the area until valid Work Permits are in
place.
1.1.5 Pre-job safety meeting shall be conducted to the entire work force.
1.1.6 Workers shall be orientated to understand emergency procedure of the
site.
1.1.7 JSA shall be reviewed with the entire work force to make them aware of
the hazards before commencing job.
1.1.8 During inclement weather conditions all activities are to stop
immediately;
1.1.8.1 Isolate all equipment and machinery, work area is to be made safe.
1.1.8.2 Workers are to then evacuate to a safe location/rest shelter.
1.1.8.3 After the inclement weather condition subsides the work site is to be
reassessed for possible new hazards.
1.1.9 Perform gas testing during site inspection and from time to time within
the duration of job execution.
1.1.10 Each group of workers should have T-40 Gas Tester to perform gas
testing from time to time within the job execution.
1.1.11 Stop work permit authority signage to be posted as per following system
2.1.1 All PPE requirements must be complied with at all times.
2.1.2 Un-authorized personnel are not allowed to enter in the working area.
2.1.3 Put proper barricades and warning signs in all areas especially for traffic
safe direction/route.
2.1.4 Emergency Response Procedure shall be followed by all workers.
2.1.5 Good housekeeping shall be implemented.
2.1.6 Good stacking arrangement of materials shall be imposed.
2.2.1 Trained spotters/flagmen (with reflective vest) shall guide the flow of the
traffic/heavy equipment during mobilization.
2.2.2 Move equipment to a safe location.
2.2.3 Properly arrange all materials and equipment.

2.2.4 Provide traffic route/detour signage.
2.2.5 Parking space for heavy and regular vehicles.
2.2.6 Wind sock on site and in good condition.

4.1.1 All lifting devices must be inspected before lifting and shifting of
materials.
4.1.2 Lifting equipment must be certified and as per the manufacture
specifications.
41.3 Boom Truck will be placed on stable surface to expand the out rigger
properly before lifting the equipment.
4.1.4 Lifting sling and other devices attached to the skids must be balanced
before unloading.
4.1.5 Wind speed guidelines must be considered for any type of lift.
5.1.1 All excavation activity will be carried out as per the plan and method of
statement
5.1.2 Excavated materials must be kept awa from the e cavation edge
5.1.3 Cable locator must be utilized before start the excavation manually or
through mechanical excavator if required.
5.1.4 Proper PPE shall be provided to employee.

5.1.6 Gas monitoring system must be implemented before entry into any
excavation.
5.1.7 A rest shelter shall be fabricated for the employee to take break.
5.1.8 Proper housekeeping will be maintained at site as well as offices.
6.1.1 Ensure that competent person is using the right cable detector.
6.1.2 Identify and mark up all underground utilities detected prior to
excavation work.
6.1.3 Inspect the tools before using, ensure that equipment is calibrated prior
to use.
7.1.1 Daily equipment inspection checklist must be accomplished before
operation.
7.1.2 Operators shall be SA certified.
7.1.3 Heavy Equipment shall be inspected and must have a valid Saudi Aramco
third party inspection sticker.
7.1.4 No vehicles or earth moving equipment allowed within 2 m (6.5 ft) of
trench.
7.1.5 Operator should have a SAG driving licenses.
7.1.6 All PPE requirements must be complied with at all times.
7.1.7 A Pre-Excavation Checklist shall be properly completed and made
available.
7.1.8 Drivers and Operators shall not leave the vehicles unattended while the
engine is running.
7.2.1 Provision of inspected fire protection equipment such as fire
extinguishers.
7.2.2 Ensure that there are sufficient numbers of fire extinguishers before
commencing the job.
7.2.3 Ensure that there are trained firefighting personnel available at the work
site.
7.3.1 Gas test shall be performed when there is reason to suspect oxygen
deficiency or the presence of a flammable/toxic atmosphere in an excavation.
7.3.2 When using controls for the purpose of reducing atmospheric contaminants
to acceptable levels, gas testing shall be conducted on a regular basis and before
the work crew is to re-enter the excavation (e.g. after breaks, lunch) to ensure
that the atmosphere remains safe.

8.1.1 Approved Excavation Plan must be available and followed.
8.1.2 Blinking warning lights shall be used at excavation if work or movement of
personnel at night.
8.1.3 Proper access, egress and use of adequate ladders shall be provided every

10.1.5 workers shall be aware of MOH reporting rules (937) and ensure all
workers knows the symptoms of Covid-19 (such as fever, cough, runny nose,
sone throat and shortness of breath)
10.1.6 workers shall be aware of the seven moments for hand hygiene in the
workplace.

determined by the proponent based on facility design, size, and
risks, in order to ensure adequate coverage.
