which honors volunteers who are using their time and talent to solve some of the toughest
challenges facing our nation. Each volunteer receives a letter signed by the President of
the United States of America. Led by AmeriCorps and managed in partnership
with Points of Light, this program authorizes eligible organizations to become Certifying
Organizations that can recognize their most exceptional volunteers with PVSAs.
I am writing to you today to ask that you consider applying to become a Certifying
Organization. As an avid volunteer at ORGANIZATION NAME, it would be an honor to
be recognized with this award for my efforts. Plus, it also gives ORGANIZATION
NAME notability as an officially recognized distributor. It’s a simple process to become
a Certifying Organization.
In order to become a Certifying Organization, the inquiring organization must meet the
eligibility requirements and complete a simple application process. Applications are
reviewed and processed within 7-10 business days.
The only cost incurred with the program is the cost of the awards and shipping. As the
Certifying Organization, you can choose which item is awarded to volunteers, selecting
from a pin, coin, medallion or certificate.
