On bushcutter there is multiple choices of blades, operator have to
sharp blade according to the manufacturer instructions.

F) Candidate to inspect & clean air filter:

Remove debris from around filter

Apply choke if applicable
Remove and clean filter protecting carburettor intake (state nonflammable detergent or appropriate method)
Before taking off the air-filter choke has to be applied. Operetor has
to perform cleaning in the right manner depending on type of filter.
Fabric wash, fleece no brush. If using compressed air the airflow has
to be inside out, to blow the dust out of filter not through mash.
G) Candidate to inspect & clean spark plug:

Drop test
Candidate has to know if bushcutter is 4-stroke or 2-stroke engine,
and chose right fuel or fuel mix.
Colour, tightness, drop test, gap size (state procedure if spark plug
damaged and comment on type of fuel)
H) Candidate to clean, inspect & re-tension starter recoil mechanism:

Remove starter cover, clear air ways, check cord wear points
Release and re-tension cord and coil spring
Check handle/pull toggle for security
I) Candidate to inspect fuel filter & comment how to clean:

UNDERTAKE OPERATIONAL SAFETY CHECKS (engine ON)
Candidate to check brushcutter for condition & pre-use safety:
1. Pre-start machine checks-select appropriate fuelling site, top up
fuel/lubricant & check condition of machine (fuel/oil caps secure,
blade check & nylon check, nuts secure)
2. Pre-start working position checks-machine handle bar & harness
attachment point, harness-adjusted correctly
3. Safe start method * Cold ground & Warm ground methods
4. Safe start distance from fuel/others-min.3m or greater according to
national guidance
5. Check all controls are operational (as per manufacturers guidance)
6. Head stops immediately when throttle released
7. On/off switch is working (state procedure if not working)

around obstacles & using throttle control with the trimmer must be demonstrated without causing damage.

