Exploring the Role of the RTE
Welcome to Exploring the Role of the RTE, part of the RTE Essentials learning series. This
section will outline what it means to be an RTE, the benefits of being an RTE, and provide
you with tips and tools to help you perform as an RTE.
Your turn – Reflecting on difficulty receiving information
Think about a time in your career where you had difficulty receiving information without
rejecting it. How could you have improved your response to accept the information as it
was offered and been more empathetic to the situation?
Write your response and highlight anything you would have done differently as a
servant leader.

Read through each tip in this section, and pick one to implement in your organization and
create an action plan to get started on implementing your process.
