What type of art is Jordan ?
• Its art is part a broader Islamic artistic tradition, with evidence of classical
influences.
Music of Jordan
• The traditional music of Jordan has a long history. Rural zajal songs, with
improvised poetry played with a mijwiz, tablah, arghul, oud, rabab, and reed
pipe ensemble accompanying is popular.
• The national anthem is Al-salam al-Malaki al-ourdoni
What is the architecture type of Jordan ?
• Their architectural style was Nabataean, incorporating the influences of
Assyrian, Egyptian, Greek and Roman civilisations.

• The traditional outfit typically worn by men is made of a one-piece fulllength dress, called a “Dishdashah” or “Thoub”,

• On the front of the dress, there is usually a decorative panel made from
embroidery or what we call tatreez. Women frequently wear handcrafted
embroidered dresses with red, gold or green accents and a headscarf in the
hues of black and red

• The Dabke is the traditional folk dance of Jordan, going back generations. It
can be danced by men, women, or both, with different steps and different
rhythms. However, it is also a dance of solidarity and a way of expressing
nationalism and the age-old presence of art and culture in a positive way
Jordanian food and dessert
• Mansaf
• Recognized as the national dish of Jordan, Mansaf is traditional and authentically
Jordanian. This dish which is often served on a large platter and is intended to be
shared usually consists of cooked lamb which is prepared in a fermented yogurt
sauce. The meat is then served over rice and sometimes bulgar with herbs.
• Kunafa
• Kunafa or knafeh is a popular Arabic dessert that can be found in Jordan. It
consists of melted cheese topped with a pastry or shredded wheat topping, then
soaked in sweet syrup. It is usually sold by weight and is heavily addictive
