The Implementation in the Organization
If Lockheed Martin is to achieve its aim of developing a revolutionary new product, it must
strengthen its competitive edge in a number of ways. Businesses must first do exhaustive market
research to discover the wants and needs of their target customers. Consequently, the company
will be able to develop a product that not only meets but also exceeds the expectations of its target
market (Smith & Flanagan, 2021).
The Value Chain
Lockheed Martin is responsible for ensuring that the product is well-promoted and reaches
its intended audience by adopting successful marketing and sales strategies after development is
complete. To do this, you may need to employ digital channels such as social media or establish
ties with other organizations (Ackerman, 2022). It is essential, while managing a company's value
chain, to ensure that all links are smoothly integrated and aligned with the company's overall goals.
A supplier relationship or the outsourcing of certain tasks may be necessary to guarantee the timely
and high-quality delivery of all key components. Effective supply chain management will be
required to guarantee the prompt and affordable delivery of both raw materials and finished goods.
Ideal Organizational Design
Several considerations, such as Lockheed Martin's size and complexity, the nature of the
product, and the competitive environment, will determine the best organizational architecture for
implementing the company's strategy (Burton et al., 2020). Yet, it's important to keep in mind the
importance of things like setting clear roles and duties, creating efficient lines of communication

constant development. A well-designed organizational structure that facilitates the fulfillment of
