1. Compute for the total reaction at A and B on the truss shown in Fig. 1. Force P is
perpendicular to the inclined member
2. Determine the reaction at A and B of the beam loaded with a concentrated and a
distributed as shown in Fig.2
3. A boom AB is supported in a horizontal position by a hinge A & a cable which runs
from C over a small pulley at D and carries a block with a mass of 250 kg as shown
in Fig. 3. Compute the total reaction at A.

4. Compute for the total reaction at A and B on the truss shown in Fig. 4.
5. The beam CD is supported by a roller support at D and C, the roller C rest on top
another beam AB, and it is supported by a hinge at A and a roller at B. Compute for
the total reactions on each supports.
