I. DESCRIPTION OF PROBLEM N°01
The problem of filtration in the treatment of drinking water in the city of Juliaca for a flow of 400
L/s requires advanced hydraulic processes at a high production rate. In this case, the problem is
that the current filtration of the water is done under atmospheric conditions through sand filters
which do not have a fast production rate, these sand filters are commonly called slow filters and
have a production of 100 L/s, therefore, it is required to increase the filtration flow proposing the
following alternative solution.
1.1. FORMULATE FUNCTION
Are all of the Parts Present? One quality of a correctly stated function is that the tool,
modification and product are all clearly shown. The product is the object being modified. The
modification can be stated in long or short hand. The tool is the object that will modify the tool.
The direction of modification or the causality should be correctly shown by the direction of the
arrow.

1.2. OPERATION TIME
The operation time is characterized by the action start time and duration, in this case, we will
apply the time when we prepare the corrective action in the operational zone.
The solution proposal will begin to be applied at the moment the water enters the filter, in this
Batch-type experimentation process.
1.3. OPERATION ZONE
The operation zone is located in the filtering bed, specifically in the pores of the quartz sand
which will have to force the pressure filtration in a closed container subjected to mechanical
pressure.
1.4. IDEA FINAL RESULT
The IFR, will be the creation of a filter that can contain enough pressure to accelerate the rate of
water filtration, like a forced strainer, according to formulate function, the final product will be a
greater amount of filtered water, modifying the container in the area of operation, which has a selfcontained backwash system and can generate an ideal filtration rate equivalent to that of the feed
into the system.
1.5. FUNCTION ORIENTED SEARCH
According to the improvement patterns that the FOS proposes, a closed system is designed that
can contain enough water pressure to accelerate the filtration in this space, forcing it only to escape
through the filtering bed, thus defining that the oriented function it is the filtration itself.
1.6. CONTRADICTIONS
The contradiction in this example would be: The filter must be compact and closed then the water
can be storage in order to be filtered at a high rate by pressure, but it must have a backwash line
because of its high rate of saturation too, so for not to collapse the system and produce enough
filtered water.
1.7. ATTEMPT TO RESOLVE IT
This is a design of a pressure filter in schematics, that is made of metal and calculated to filter 45
L/s at a 5 bar of average pressure by pumping, the same principle as a home mechanical strainer,
design made by Marco Antonio Chambilla Llerena.
II. DESCRIPTION OF PROBLEM N°02
The problem of forging signatures at work has become very common in the public sector. In this
case, public companies increase the levels of bureaucracy to ensure that the documents issued by
the undersigned are trustworthy; however, this leads to a greater delay in administrative
management, This commonly happens for the issuance of checks and fuel vouchers that still use
the manual signature with pen and ink to evidence the signature of the authorization of the
immediate boss, however using TRIZ BASICS, an alternative solution can be proposed low cost
without the need to use high-maintenance electronic systems.

2.2. OPERATION TIME
The operation time is characterized by the action start time and duration, in this case, we will

The solution proposal will begin to be applied at the moment the signature pens starts to fill the
documents with the signature or the OK sign.
2.3. OPERATION ZONE
The operation zone is in the office, on the table, that will require the presence of the authority to
sigh the document.
2.4. IDEA FINAL RESULT
The IFR, It will consist of creating a unique way of proving that the person who must authorize
the outflow of money or resources through their signature is a cheap and easy-to-implement secure
measure.
2.5. FUNCTION ORIENTED SEARCH
According to the improvement patterns that the FOS proposes and the area of operation and the
time of operation, the solution will consist of creating a specific ink color that only the authorizer
knows so that they can sign such documents. This will require that the person authorizing always
handle their own pen loaded with ink and the color mix that only this person should know and be
recognized at the other hierarchical levels so that it can be authorized at the organizational level.
2.6. CONTRADICTIONS
The contradiction in this example would be: The ink color must be unique to sign then the
authorization will become real and trusted, but it must be easy to mix when needs recharge, so for
not to be forget by the own authorizer.
2.7. ATTEMPT TO RESOLVE IT
As a manager, I created my own color by mixing three ink colors, since I have learned about
TRIZ, I just realized that this technique is quite effective.
