THE GREATEST
COMMANDMENT
MODULE 4
One day,
Jesus was
teaching
the people
in the
temple.
One of the Bible
teachers wanted
to test Jesus with
this question:
“Teacher, which
is the greatest
commandment in
the Book of the
Law?”
The First and Greatest Commandment
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart
and with all your soul and with all you mind
and with all your strength.”
Jesus replied,
“Love the
Lord your
God with all
your heart.”
It means, that
you should
keep your
heart clean
and pure
before God.
When you have
made a mistake
or have done
something
wrong, you
have to say
sorry to God
right away and
to the person
that you have
hurt.
Jesus replied,
“Love the
Lord your
God with all
your soul and
with all your
mind.”
 It means, you should always think of God
first.
• You should always talk to God by praying
and read the Bible day and night.
Jesus replied, “Love
the Lord your God
with all strength.”
It means, you should give your whole body to God. You
can sing, dance, play a musical instrument, and clap
your hands as you worship the Lord your God.
Second Greatest Commandment
“Love your neighbor as you love yourself.”
• It means, you MUST do to other
people what you would like them
to do to you.
