Dance relies on the body as an instrument for
expressing internal emotions through movement.
Different body parts can create shapes and
emphasize motion, resulting in a variety of styles
including asymmetrical, symmetrical, moving,
and still.

Dance movement encompasses both small gestures
and larger movements, including lifts, and can be
both locomotor (such as walking and running) and
non-locomotor (such as in-place dancing).

direction, size, place, and focus, and can be
explored in various ways.

speed of movement should be aligned with time.
