TOPIC- ADJECTIVES
WORKSHEET
SYNOPSIS:
★ An adjective is a word that describes a noun or pronoun or adds to its
meaning.
★ There are different kind of adjectives.
They are as follows:
1. Adjective of quality: Tells us about the quality of a person or thing.
Eg. Ravi is an ​honest​ man.
2. Adjective of quantity: Tells us about the quantity.
Eg. He ate the ​ whole ​cake.
3. Adjective of number: Tells about the number of people or things.
Eg. All, many, few, some.
4. Demonstrated adjectives: Points at a particular person or thing.
5. Distributive adjectives: Refer to each one of a number.
Eg. Each, every, either, neither.
6. Emphasising adjectives: Used for emphasis.
7. Possessive adjectives: Show possession or ownership.
Eg. My, her.
8. Interrogative adjectives: To ask questions.
Eg. Which, whose.
9. Proper adjectives: Modify nouns and pronouns.
Eg. I like Chinese food
10. There are degrees of adjectives
Eg. Positive, Comparative and Superlative degrees.
