The National Capital Region (NCR),
also known as Metropolitan Manila, is
the capital region of the Philippines. It
is located in the southwestern portion
of Luzon, directly below Central Luzon.

It is the city's most significant
landmark, and was built between 1952
to 1978, according to the QC website.
Its three towers represent the
country's major islands — Luzon,
Visayas, and Mindanao. Above them
are sculptures of three angels holding
sampaguita wreaths by Italian artist
Francesco Riccardo Monti.

Bonifacio Monument
Luneta Park
Rizal Park, also known as Luneta Park
or simply Luneta, is a historical urban
park located along Roxas Boulevard
in Manila. It is adjacent to the old
walled city of Intramuros and is of
the largest urban parks in Asia

Bonifacio Monument, which won first
prize in a contest sponsored by the
National Museum in 1930, is a group
sculpture of numerous figures massed
around a central obelisk. The principal
figure is Andres Bonifacio, leader of the
1896 Philippine Revolution. Behind him
and beneath the flag stands Emilio
Jacinto.

Intramuros, or the 'Walled City', is one
of the oldest districts of Manila, built
on the south bank of the Pasig River
around 1571. It was built by the
Spaniards – more specifically by
Miguel Lopez de Legaspi – and is
bound on all sides by moats and
thick, high walls, with some over 6
metres high.
