Everyone is debating on this topic for years. Technology has come a long way to
make human life easier but the negative aspect of it cannot be ignored. Technology
is one of the most useful and powerful development force of the modern world.
Nowadays humans have become so accustomed to the use of technological
inventions, that humans can not do without them. Technology has not only made
human life easier but has contributed a lot in the growth of economies in the world.
Firstly, the evolution of Technology is beneficial to humans for several reasons. At
the medical level, technology can help treat more sick people and consequently save
many lives and combat very harmful diseases. The invention of the computer was a
very important point. Communication was enhanced, and companies can now
communicate more easily with foreign countries. For companies and organisations,
progress in implementing strategic technology trends is helping them save time and
money. Technology has increased the productivity of almost every industry in the
world. A really beneficial Pro of technology is ease of mobility. With the help of
technology humans invented all the forms of transportation such as the aeroplane,
which is the most fastest mode of transportation. Technology has also benefited the
agricultural sector too. It has introduced technologies such as, robots that do all the
farming, temperature and moisture sensors, arial images and GPS technology. The
online entertainment such as Netflix, Youtube etc. that provide you with
entertainment, is also a form of technology. Mankind has also invented a self driving
car, that might prevent accidents from taking place, and save many lives.
On the other hand, the evolution of modern technology has its disadvantages too.
For example, the dependance on new technology. Man no longer needs to think,
everyone is just dependant on technology. The main disadvantage of technology is
data security, this means that vast amounts of data can be stored and collected. This
can be private information of offices. It can be very difficult to keep this data secured.
Just a single breach can mean vast amounts of private information falling into the
hands of criminals. Another main disadvantage is crime and terrorism, examples of
these can include terrorists using social media to promote themselves and
encourage others, drug dealers using technology to trade etc. Machines an example
of technology, is taking over jobs now, which leads to a lot of unemployment. The
biggest disadvantage of technology is, people getting so addicted to it, that they
forget to spend time with each other socially. Another disadvantage is the harmful
radiations of technology. The more you use technology the more damage its
radiations will do to you. Which is why it is important to understand, the amount of
time you should spend using it.
In my opinion, technology has made our society make it to the point of ignorance to
the fact that there might be a day when our technology does not work and that they
cannot, at the moment live without it. We have grown to reply on our technology to
make our lives easier.
