Finding the Pun Worksheet
A pun is a funny saying that uses words that sound similar. It is a joke
exploiting the different possible meanings of a word or the fact that there
are words that sound alike but have different meanings.
Example: Every calendar’s days are numbered.
Directions: Read each sentence and underline it if it is a pun. If it is not
a pun, then do not underline the sentence.
Example: A bicycle can’t stand on its own because its two-tired.
Answer: A bicycle can’t stand on its own because its two-tired.
